Stopped by Socratous Garden today, following the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, and we were not the least disappointed!

Tugged away between two busy shops, this lush oasis offers a shady break under the orange trees, with a very friendly an humorous staff on top of it.

We ordered a couple of sodas and early lunch – one spinach pizza and the obligatory moussaka – and as other critics have mentioned, this may not be on top of the must-eat-food places, it was actually quite ok and well worth the overall price at around €25 for two dishes and the two large sodas.

The only downside was the annoying guitar player, who entered the place when we were nearly done, playing and singing just a little too loud, trying with spanish(!) tunes to outsing the authentic greek music from the restaurants sound system. Fortunately, our waiter apparently noticed our discomfort and quickly brought the bill and swiftly managed the payment, giving us a chance to leave.

Overall, worth the money, both for the meal but also for the relaxing atmosphere. An absolute must-visit on future trips to Rhodes.
